Meet the Owner

Hi, my name is Duste Boggs and I am the owner of The Auto Stop in Stott's City, Missouri. I have always enjoyed working with a team of people and have dreamed since childhood of owning my own small business. In 2020 the owner of our local gas station decided to retire and sell his company.

I didn't like the idea of our local gas station closing and leaving farmers in the area without a local source for fuel. So my family and I began to pray and consider the possibility of purchasing the shop. I soon learned that the trailer company next door was also going to be sold, so we made the decision to purchase both properties.

We merged the two businesses into a single one stop shop that offers fuel, repairs, and Hunts Brothers Pizza to our customers. Purchasing both businesses allows us to offer much needed services to our community. These services range from simple auto and tire repair to in depth part replacement on complex farm equipment. We have trailer parts, hydraulic hoses and much more in stock and can tackle any repair job, no matter how big or small.

As a father, I know the value of teaching my children to invest in themselves and in others around them. My wife and I have 13 children and 1 granddaughter. Our children love working around the shop and each of them have specific interests that make them valuable to the business. We want to continue to serve the community here in Stott's City and the surrounding area. The people we do business with are more than just customers. When you shop at The Auto Stop you come in as a stranger, but you leave as a friend.
